After the 4th place with 88,26m in London I’m bringing home great news for me and German track and field federation DLV. I was elected to represent the international athletes and also my event for the next 4 years.
With 691 counting voices I became part among 5 other athletes to represent the athletes points of view and opinions on international scale. I really appreciate the trust and support of the athletes and I look forward to working with all Athletes Commission members in the future. Also I’m excited to be able to sketch ideas developing our sport and event.
All in all not an easy challenge, looking at recent discussions in and outside the IAAF. Track and Field athletics itself and the IAAF structures are facing crucial challenges creating the future of the sport. In order to save fair and respected sports on all stages, the ongoing fight against doping affairs is only one point that I want to be supporting and forming all the way to 2021.
