On 09.07.2019 the javelin flew to 86.51m, closely followed by the German colleague Andreas Hofmann, who took second place with only 6cm difference.
A “stop and go” in competition
After a very good throw in the competition started with a total of 8 athletes. Among others with Andreas Hofmann (DE), Kim Amb (SWE), Vesely Vitezslav (CZE) and a few more. Unfortunately, the first 3 attempts were often interrupted by runs and sprints, so that a fluent competition could not start from the beginning.
There could not have been a more exciting final
After all the throwers from round 4 could concentrate on a smooth competition, flew the first good distances. With me, the values climbed from round to round by about 2m (82,90m – 84,65m – 86,51m).
In the last round all athletes wanted to give everything again. Andreas Hofmann was currently in 1st place with 84.71m, followed by my throw from the 5th attempt with 84.65m. In the last attempt I threw my Champion Carbon Javelin by Nordic Sport at 86.51m, the whole stadium shook with excitement, a great atmosphere for everyone. Now it was Andreas’ turn, all spectators clapped in rhythm – start suits – dropping works and javelin spills clean – 86.45 m and second place for compatriot Andreas Hofmann.
With a distance of 86,51m I say goodbye to a great competition from Lucerne and fly via Nice to Monaco to the Diamond League.
