There is no question that a training camp cannot be taken for granted in times of a global pandemic. So I am all the more grateful that we are allowed to train in the national team in a safe environment for 2 weeks in warm Belek, or that we can at least do our job in the direction of Tokyo 2021.
For me personally, the first throws with the javelin are due in the camp. If I have forgotten how to do it over the winter? No, by no means, but the transition from ball to javelin is always a small challenge for coaches and athletes.
With regard to the discussions on the feasibility of the games, my team and I are keeping closely to the statements made by the IOC and DOSB, that’s all we can do in the current situation. You’re motivated anyway.
